Most moms I know have open tabs on several devices, recipes saved waiting to be tried, holiday ideas that they wanted to do… for a holiday that came and went, crafts they’ve been meaning to make with their kids, and kids that are simply growing too fast.
I know that feeling because I lived it.
I spent years trying to create a meaningful childhood for my kids while also feeling like family life was constantly slipping through my fingers.
My kids are back-to-back-to-back. We homeschooled. My husband traveled most of the week for work during their younger years, so for a long time, it was mostly me managing the days, the lessons, the meals, the memories, the holidays, the activities… all of it.
Honestly, we did a lot.
We drove almost two hours to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum every week for years. We made paper mache volcanoes, salt dough solar systems and ornaments… and even salt dough brains. We painted rocks, went on walks, and lived at the bookstore. We spent summers at the drive-in, the beach, and the zoo. We did blanket fort movie nights, crafts at the kitchen table, and star gazing. It was the kind of childhood I desperately wanted my kids to have.
And in the end, they grew up faster than I thought they would.
There are things I forgot, things I meant to do, things I wish I had written down, traditions I wish I had started sooner, recipes I never circled back to, and moments I wish I had slowed down enough to hold onto a little longer.
That’s why I made this family binder.
Not because I think moms need more to do, moms already do a lot, I made this because I think families deserve a place to hold onto the things that actually matter before the years disappear.

- You do not need to have a perfectly organized home.
- You do not need color-coded routines or elaborate traditions.
Your Family Binder is not here to make you feel like you aren’t doing enough, it is here to support you with all the things you would love doing with your kids.
If your family only uses a few pages each month, that still matters. If all you print are the conversation starters and a recipe or two, wonderful. If one small tradition becomes something your kids remember someday, that matters more than people realize.
The binder is meant to work inside real life, not make it harder.

Why This Matters So Much to Me
I didn’t have the childhood one would hope for and when I became a mom, creating a close, safe, meaningful home mattered deeply to me. Did I hit the mark? In many ways yes, but as I said, kids grow so fast, and even though we did many wonderful things together, motherhood often becomes survival mode.
Things slipped by or went undone, and honestly, I feel if I had been handed something like this binder… not only would have the younger years have felt more intentional, but we would also have set up systems that would have made some of the teen years even more manageable.
This Family Binder is my way of helping families hold onto the little things while they’re still happening. If this binder and family system helps just one family… it will have done its job in my eyes.
